Walang Kokontra!
Ayon sa commendation:

Customer Judith Y****n insisted to talk to a supervisor so that she can relay how good a job Gina did while they were on the phone. According to Judith, "Gina Lopez" was the only person who was able to convince her to give out her Social Security Number over the phone. To the customer's surprise, she failed the credit check. The customer said this is the first time that this has happened to her, so she will call the credit bureau and her bank as well. As soon as she has done this, she will be calling back and will ask for Gina because " She was very good and I want her to have credit for it."

Bago nyo isiping kinulam ko ang customer, hayaan nyong ikuwento ko sa inyo ang puno't dulo ng mga pangyayari. Maghagilap ng tissue, baka kailanganin nyo.

Nagsimula ang aking kalbaryo 20 minutes bago matapos ang shift ko, nang tumawag si Judith, isang Brazilian senior citizen. Syempre, dahil makyonda na eh mahina ang pandinig (sige na nga, BINGI!) pero sa kagustuhan kong mapaglingkuran siya at sa hangad na ring makabenta, matiyaga at dahan-dahan ko'ng ipaliwanag sa kanya ang promotion. (100 decibels ang volume, take note!)

Para akong sirang plaka sa paulit-ulit na pagsagot sa paulit-ulit na tanong ng matanda. Natuyuan talaga ako ng matris pero sa katitiyaga, nakuha ko ang loob ni Lola (Inireto pa nga ako sa anak nyang si Michael) at makalipas ang isang oras (oo, isa!) ay napapayag ko rin na mag-sign up pero nang ipaalam ko sa kanya na may credit check at kailangang ibigay nya sa akin social security number nya, bumula na naman ang bibig ng matanda.

Sa kakukulit at kapapaliwanag na inabot ng mga kinse minutos, bumigay din pero ayon nga sa Boyle's Law, "If anything can go wrong, it will" (Murphy's Law po). Bumagsak ang matanda at kahit ano'ng paliwanag ko, hindi n'ya matanggap na hindi siya pumasa at kailangang magdeposito ng $150.

To cut a long story short, umalis ako sa office na luhaan -- an hour after my end shift. Ang saklap! Buti na lang binigyan ako ng matanda ng commendation.

O, ano? Kokontra pa???
